Small things that raise the bigger,
a face in a picture,
a scarf dropped on the floor.
Little times you‘ve been walking to the shore,
no shoes
and no thoughts,
your eyes seeing beyond.
As you grow taller your breath grows deeper
and you rise your body like a tree extending its
branches,
like a present reaching to the future.
And you learn the dark but always seek the sun
that touched you when you were born;
a memory in the senses.
You believe in something that can be no other but the
dream of you conceived in flame.
And you remember it each time small things
disappear,
cease to exist,
their fate ended.
